Origin:

From the valley of the Isère river, one of the three AOC (Official Quality Guarantee) varieties « Noix de Grenoble »


The tree:
 
  • strong vigour
  • semi-erected to erected bearing
  • late bud-breaking: around April 20th - 30th
  • late blossoming : around May, 10th - 30th
  • fruiting on terminal twigs
  • rather quick fruiting
  • regular and good yield
  • rather impervious to anthracnose, moderately sensitive to blight
  • Pollinators: Ronde de Montignac and Meylanaise (5%)

The fruit:
  
  • average size, elongated walnut
  • good quality, well joined nutshell, dries easily
  • yellow kernel, very tasty, walnut easy to break
